The number of countries using ecosystem-based approaches to managing marine areas are expressed as the extent to which they have introduced Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) in their Exclusive Economic Zones usign ecosystem-based approaches. As this indicator has not been fully established, the Regional Seas Programme Indicator 22, ICZM, is used as the primary indicator. |
